Job Description:
Planit Technology Group is currently looking for Data Processing/Application Support Specialist. Candidate must Own and assist with the end-user support, system configuration, maintenance and controllership of several Investments applications. Provide supplemental backup role to peer for ensuring nightly BlackRock, Investment Accounting (PAM) and External Manager, and Commercial Real Estate data files are transferred and staged, and work closely with the Data Warehouse team to support those inbound data feeds Serve on a team of technical staff supporting Data Processing Services, providing support for daily inbound and outbound nightly batch data feeds as well as investigating and implementing new requirements as well as efficiency enhancements Work with business teams and IT peers, utilizing PMI and Agile project management methodologies, to both support and enhance nightly job stream and supported applications Responsible to ensure all development activities follow guidelines including technical and functional test plans, adherence to established change control procedures, documentation requirements, and adoption of design and coding standards REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in a CS, MIS or related discipline 3-5 years IT experience, with demonstrated progression Experience in supporting applications 1+ years experience in the design and development ETL Exposure to or working knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Exposure to project management methodologies, deliverables, and approaches. Exposure to Finance, Investments, Portfolio Management and/or Capital Markets Experience translating functional business requirements to technical specifications (preferably in the finance, accounting, derivative or portfolio management sectors) Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute on assigned deliverables Ability to quickly learn new systems and business processes Strong communication skills (written & verbal) Team player, with strong collaboration skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 2 years experience in supporting Investments, finance, and/or Insurance industry related fields Experience in both managing and supporting applications Experience in all phases of software development lifecycle. Knowledge of Finance, Accounting, or Financial Services products, securities and portfolio management SQL proficiency for data analysis query Experience with Oracle, SQLServer, Citrix environment, Business Objects, Informatica, Metadata Manager, Java Experience working in a matrix and distributed environments For consideration, please submit your resume today!
